Cruise: 18 Day Voyage from Australia to Hawaii Sets Sail in April

The newly renovated luxury ocean liner Radiance of the Seas (pictured left) will depart from Sydney, Australia, for Honolulu, Hawaii, on 5 April 2012.  

Ports of calls will include Auckland, New Zealand, Papeete, Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, and Hilo on the Big Island in Hawaii.  

The ship has floor to ceiling picture windows enclosing a central atrium that is fully nine storeys tall.

Aviation: Hawaiian Airlines, All Nippon Airways Launch Code Share

Hawaiian Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) of Japan have strengthened their alliance.

Effective 19 January 2012, Hawaiian Airlines will place its flight code on ANA operated flights between Tokyo's Haneda International Airport and Honolulu, Hawaii, as well as on flights that connect to Hawaiian's own daily Haneda service from Chitose, Osaka (Itami), Osaka (Kansai), Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Oita, Kagoshima, and Okinawa. This will allow passengers to book domestic flights operated by ANA directly through Hawaiian Airlines.

At the same time, passengers of ANA will be able to book connecting flights on Hawaiian Airlines between Honolulu and Hilo and Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, Honolulu and Lihue on Kauai, and Honolulu and Kahului on Maui through ANA.

Joint Frequent Flyer Programme

ANA and Hawaiian started a joint Frequent Flyer Programme on 28 December 2011. Under the arrangement, Hawaiian's HawaiianMiles members can now earn and redeem miles on all ANA operated codeshare flights. Likewise, ANA Mileage Club members can now earn and redeem miles on all flights to the neighbour islands that are operated by Hawaiian Airlines.

"This new agreement expands our relationship with the leading airline of Japan and allows both carriers to offer travelers more choices and more value than we could independently, says Mark Dunkerley, 'President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines.

Code Share Partners

Shinichiro Ito, ANA President and CEO, is equally upbeat.

"We are pleased to welcome Hawaiian Airlines as our code-share partner and look forward to cooperating with each other on our Japanese and Hawaii networks,” Shinichiro says.

“This will give our customers access to a wider network across Hawaii's neighbor islands."
